The Orthman 9300 Cultivator brings heavy-duty Orthman strength to a compact, lightweight, high-speed cultivator able to handle high-residue conditions common in strip-till and no-till applications. The wraparound parallel linkage and close-coupled row unit design make the 9300 lightweight and maneuverable in the field and on the road. Single- or dual-gauge wheels effectively control cultivation depth, and precision sweeps kill weeds while keeping residue cover intact, ensuring precision cultivation every time.

Unlike mounting systems that transfer draft force solely through U-bolts that can stretch, distort and break, Orthmans heavy-duty force-through-mount design joins steel to steel to stand up to the rigors of high residue cultivation.

The 9300s innovative parallel linkage design allows 8 inches of vertical travel, allowing you to maintain a consistent cut depth for dependable weed kill and precision fertilizer placement when side-dressing, regardless of the field terrain.

The dual row unit gauge wheel option consistently determines tooling depth on 30 inch and wider spacings to ensure a precision cultivation every time. The single tire gauge wheel design allows for row spacings as narrow as 20 inches.

Precision wrench-free depth adjustment on both gauge wheel options provides precise and consistent cutting depth adjustment. High visibility depth indicators enable easy height adjustment settings across the entire machine.

Precision Tooling Options

Pull soil away from the plant without disturbing the root zone with the standard equipment barring-off discs; when not in use, the wrench-free pin adjustment lets you quickly rotate them out of the way.

The crank-adjust center coulter with high visibility depth indicators enables easy height adjustment and is included as standard equipment, enabling the 9300 to cut through the heaviest residue.

The 9300s rear shank can utilize multiple Orthman sweep styles, including the single piece sweep, western sweep and super sweep, with blade options to match your row spacing. The rear tooling features a simple bolted angle adjustment for precise angle settings.

If you need to move more dirt for furrow building, the fully width adjustable Orthman ridging wings are available for all sweep options. The self-storing ridging wing attachment can be rotated out of the way when not in use.

Precision nutrient placement side-dressing options (liquid or NH3 fertilizer) allow for dual operations in a single pass for greater efficiency. The dual fertilizer tube option splits to each side of the row to precision place fertilizer close to the crop, while the shank mounted knife options can place the fertilizer deeper in the center of the row.

The optional auto reset linkage ensures shank and sweep protection from subsurface rocks, to ensure long tooling life even in the harshest of conditions.
