MF 300 Xtra Tractor Series
A new addition to the MF family, with the quality and back-up of a well-known and trusted brand, the MF 300 Xtra Series, is now available in selected Africa and Middle East markets.*

Rugged and compact, this simple yet powerful range of tractors with high performance engines, comprises six models from 50hp to 85hp, which are ideal for farmers looking for a manoeuvrable, multi-tasking dependable machine.

Affordable and economical to run, these ‘do anything’ tractors are equally adept at cultivation, planting, transport or yard duties, working across a wide range of farm sectors including arable, livestock and horticulture.

Performance

Engine

• 3 & 4 cylinder MTL engines producing power ranging from 50 to 85 horsepower. Its long stroke provides a high torque designed for agricultural applications.

Safety Start Mechanism

• All models are configured with a safety start mechanism preventing the engine from starting should the transmission be left in gear.

8 Forward and 2 Reverse transmission

• 8 Forward and 2 Reverse sliding spur gear transmission. Providing 4 well-spaced gears in 2 ranges, giving ample speed options for a variety of tasks, easily selected by the centre shift transmission controls.

Comfort

• The operator environment is a classic footstep layout with all controls falling easily to hand from the mechanically adjusted spring seat. This ensures any operator can find a comfortable seating position at all times and safely reach all the driving controls.

Frame and Sun Canopy

• Mounted on a robust frame, the sun canopy protects the driver from the sun’s UV rays, reducing the glare and heat exposure. The end result is a more comfortable operator environment and greater productivity.

2WD Front Axle

• Giving excellent manoeuvrability and adjustable track width.

4WD Front Axle

• Specified with a limited slip differential, the front axle boosts traction and stability with maximum simplicity and minimal maintenance.

Up to 2145kg Lift Capacity

• With lift capacities of 1451 kg for the MF 345/350 Xtra, and 2145 kg for the MF 355/360/375/385 Xtra, this tractor range is capable of handling implements from small mowers and transport boxes to heavier implements such as ploughs and cultivators.

3-Point Rear Linkage

• The rear 3-point linkage offers compatibility for category 1 and category 2 implements.

Trailer Tipping Pipe

• Primarily suited for trailers with hydraulic tipping, for easy and quick unloading. Also used for attached implements which require a single acting hydraulic function.

MF Scotch Yoke Pump

• The pump is situated in the bottom of the rear axle centre housing, immersed in oil. This ensures that it is always accessible to the oil and means that the oil lines are kept to a minimum giving uninterrupted oil supply to the gearbox and rear axle.

Live PTO

• All models are equipped with a live drive 540 rpm PTO with a standard 6 spline 35mm shaft. This allows drive to be transferred to rear-mounted implements such as mowers or static threshing machines, keeping linkages to a minimum.

Offset Driveline

• The offset driveline gives the tractor a low centre of gravity, giving good ground clearance and is mechanically engaged.

Drawbar

• Essential for using trailed equipment. The heavy duty construction is designed for haulage work and field cultivation.

Steering Options

• The MF 345 Xtra and MF 355 Xtra are specified with mechanical steering whilst all other models have hydrostatic steering, oil being supplied from a dedicated engine driven pump.

Front Weights

• These provide extra weight to the front of the tractor, aiding weight transfer to the rear axle during draft applications, thus enhancing traction and improving stability and performance.

Features May Include: 

Engine

• Straightforward reliable performance rotary pump. Maximum filtration before the fuel reaches the engine. Oil bath air filters with cyclonic pre-filters enhance engine protection and clean running in the most arduous of conditions.

Transmission

• Easy operation and adjustment allied to reliability and longevity. Well-spaced gears suit a wide range of tasks with a gear sequence that allows easy and quick speed selection. Good gear spread provides speeds for land preparation and planting, fertiliser applications, harvesting and for haulage and transport.

Rear axle

• Live PTO which is easier to use. Easily adjusted and maintained integrated mechanical brakes. Heavy-duty bearing.

Front axle

• Fully guarded driveshaft with good ground clearance. Improved traction increases productivity and reduces time in the field.

Hydraulic system

• An oil-immersed pump keeps the pump cool. Equal left-hand and right-hand steering wheel revolutions increase ease of operation.

Rear Linkage

• It can handle category 1 and 2 implements. Heavy-duty drawbar that can handle all towing operations.

Operator Environment

• Foot step design prevents a build-up of mud for safe access to the operator station. Rear frame with sun canopy fitted to all models. A fully adjustable mechanical suspension seat is provided to ensure a comfortable position can be found. All linkage controls are to the right of the operator. All PTO and 4WD controls are to the left of the operator.
