Massey Ferguson continually broadens its range of products to provide customers with machines that exactly match their needs. Massey Ferguson is now strengthening its compact tractor range with the introduction of two new 35-67hp models in the MF 1700 M Series.

The new design delivers a high specification, which includes a Stage V compliant engine, a new HST transmission (with precise control and faster top speed) as well as a new factory-fitted cab. Built to handle a wide range of applications with ease, they deliver the highest level of performance, power, reliability and comfort.

After Treatment System

• Thanks to being mounted under the bonnet, the compact after treatment system helps to maintain the tractor’s excellent visibility.

Engines

• The new MF 1700 M series is powered by a three, or four cylinder diesel engine.

Hydrostatic Transmission Top Speed

• Perfect for travel application, the new HST transmission allows a higher 34km/hr top speed.

Hydrostatic Shuttle Lever

• This transmission uses a shuttle lever to control direction, the same as on a normal agricultural tractor, for more safety and comfort.

Deck

• Equipped with three blades, the 60in wide deck offers cutting heights from 20mm to 115mm, adjustable in eight steps from the seat. New larger tyres provide a ground clearance of 150mm.

Hydrostatic Speed Control Lever

• A speed control lever allows the operator to adjust the cruise speed on the move while the cruise speed is engaged to work more efficiently and comfortably.

12 x 12 Mechanical Transmission

• The 12 X 12 Mechanical transmission offers maximum performance and fuel economy thanks to well proven efficient components. 4 synchronised speeds in three ranges makes it the perfect transmission for agricultural applications.

Comfort

• The MF 1700 M Series is available with a choice of either an operator platform or a new Category 2 factory-fitted cab, which offers drivers more comfort in a quieter environment.

Tiltable Steering Column

• With the tiltable steering column, operators will be always sitting in the most comfortable position and with controls ergonomically arranged and logically laid out on the right and left-hand consoles.

Platform Version

• On the spacious platform versions operators benefit from safe and easy access thanks to two hand grips and a footstep on the left side of the tractor. Operators are kept safe, securely protected by the standard ROPS bar.

Standard Equipment

• Comfort and convenience are further enhanced by a wide range of standard equipment, including air-conditioning, heated rear window defrost and four LED worklights.

Mechanically-Suspended Seat

• The MF 1700 M range comes with a mechanically-suspended seat as standard, with the option of pneumatic suspension.

MF 1700 M Visibility

• Both the cab and platform models offer excellent visibility, which helps operators to safely and easily access and work in confined spaces and low buildings.

MF 1700 M Entertainment Features

• Operators are entertained by a radio-ready pack (antenna + speaker), two USB sockets and there’s storage for a mobile phone.

Cab

• At 1,065mm wide, the new cab provides operators with a roomy and comfortable workplace.

Controls

• Up in the cab all controls fall easily to hand, with a simple to use joystick (standard on Cab models, optional for Platform versions), providing 2 levers to control rear spool valves and the joystick controls mid mounted spool valves or a front loader.

Productivity

• Operating with smooth efficiency, its easy to access awkward corners, low buildings and areas with restricted access. But the MF 1700 M Series is equally at home in the field operating a range of implements, transports goods on the road or expertly mowing a golf green with care and precision.

FRONT LINKAGE AND FRONT PTO

• Front linkage up to 800 kg capacity and front PTO are available as an option with perfect integration into the tractor chassis, without impact on visibility, aiding excellent manoeuvrability of the tractor.

IPTO Control

• New control for the Independent PTO improves versatility by enabling operators to select different operating modes - normal, soft or automatic – to suit different implements and working conditions.

External PTO Switch

• Further easing operation is an external PTO switch, located on the rear fender.

Spool Valves

• Two rear spool valves are fitted as standard, both available with single- or double-acting operation. Their activation levers can also be locked to ‘free flow’, which eases operation and improves efficiency.

Hydraulic System

• A straightforward open-centre, high performance hydraulic system generates up to 48 litres/min of total hydraulic flow, ensuring there is always plenty of capacity to simultaneously run the tractor services and to operate implement functions.

Automatic 4WD

• Automatic 4WD increases productivity and safety on this tractor series. As soon as the brake pedal is depressed the system simultaneously switches from 2WD to 4WD, braking all four wheels.

PTO Automatic Mode

• In automatic mode, the rear- or mid-PTO rotates while moving forward and stops while travelling in reverse or when the tractor stops.

MF 1700 M Options

• Other options include front weights, air-suspension seats as well as a broad choice of agricultural and larger turf tyres.
