Driven to Perform

The L1230 lime and fertilizer spreader is available with two drive options. Our exclusive Hydraulic Fixed Rate Drive performs like a traditional ground drive spreader but without the chains, sprockets, shafts and clutches. Or, we offer a Variable Rate Capable Drive, allowing the use of fertilizer prescriptions in GPS-enabled tractors with ISOBUS technology or compatible aftermarket rate controllers.

Plug and Play

Our variable rate capable drive offers plug-and-play compatibility with controllers from all major manufacturers, including John Deere, AgLeader and Raven. It also works seamlessly on tractors with ISOBUS technology. Simply plug in the wiring harness, and you’re ready to start spreading

Controlled Spin

The controlled spinner drive works in conjunction with a speed sensor, allowing the operator to set the desired spinner speed from the cab to match the desired spread width. Simply enter the desired spinner speed, and the spinners will adjust automatically to the programmed speed.

Go With the Flow

The stainless-steel hopper is smooth with a 50-degree slope, minimal flat surfaces and no internal gussets or plates to accumulate fertilizer. This results in a much cleaner system that maximizes material flow and helps prevent corrosion.

Hydraulic Fixed Rate Drive

This modern take on the ground drive spreader eliminates chains, sprockets, shafts and clutches. Simply set product density and application rate on the simplistic controller, and the spreader will match the conveyor speed to the ground speed. The system requires only 12V power from the tractor to run.

Variable Rate Capable Drive

Variable rate capabilities allow the use of fertilizer prescriptions for automatic rate adjustments. This option requires a GPS-enabled tractor with ISOBUS technology or compatible aftermarket rate controller. It offers plug-and-play functionality with controllers from all major manufacturers, including John Deere, AgLeader and Raven.

Agitator

The agitator breaks down clumps to help provide consistent-sized material to the spinners.

Row Crop Wheels

The L1230 offers up to 37 inches of frame clearance when equipped with row crop wheels, allowing in-season applications. The wheels are adjustable from 60- to 134-inch tread centers. The spreader can be equipped with an optional extended axle for up to 160-inch spacing. Duals are also available.

Walking Tandems

Instead of row crop wheels, the L1230 can be equipped with walking tandems, which offer a lower loading height. Wheel spacing is adjustable from 60- to 105-inch tread centers.

Belt-Over-Chain Design

A 24-inch belt-over 88C chain design, combined with an agitator, provides a consistent flow of lime to the spinners and also works well for fertilizer applications.

Dual Stainless-Steel Spinners

Dual stainless-steel spinners produce a consistent spread pattern from 20 to 60 feet wide for lime, or 40 to 90 feet wide for fertilizer.

Obstruction-Free Interior

Simple Design

Standardized bearings are used for all driveline components on the machine to greatly simplify the maintenance and replacement process.

Adjustable Hitch

The hitch has a moveable clevis to accommodate a wider range of drawbar heights, and allows for leveling of the spreader. The hitch is also integral to the frame, while the suspension pulls from the hitch to lower the amount of frame stress.

Integral Lights

Optional Extending Ladder

An extending ladder option provides easy access to the hopper. It can be easily stowed when not in use.

Optional Integral Scale

Closely monitor application rates and the amount of material remaining in the hopper with the integral four-point scale option.

Optional Roll Tarp

An optional roll tarp can be installed to protect material within the hopper from weather elements.

Optional Steerable Hitch

A steerable hitch provides maximum control of the spreader on sidehills and turns.
