The roller covers the whole working width. Its diameter is 300 mm and it is equipped with 6 knives per roller for a very high rotational speed, thus additionally improving the crushing effect. The knifes are arranged in a slightly diagonal way to guarantee that the force is distributed evenly. The knife rest against the rotor to guarantee top stability. The whole system is pre-stressed hydraulically with up to 100 bar and protected hydraulically against overload. The new front tool is perfect for example for chrushing catch crop populations in spring or autumn as well as for a ultra-shallow stubble cultivation in rape, sunflowers or silage maize. The knife roller can also be used to fight the corn borer in silage maize stubbles.
