8' End Wheel Min-Till Compact Drill

The Great Plains 8' Min-Till Drill uses field-proven 00 Series Openers to properly and accurately place seed in smaller fields and spaces. This rugged opener utilizes 13½", 4mm thick disc blades with 205 triple-lip seal bearings for long life. It also features full-length seed tubes and T-handle depth adjustment with 18 settings to precisely control seed depth. Changing the 5-position, centrally located down pressure adjustment is quick and easy, ensuring the correct pressure regardless of the conditions.

The 1¾"-wide fluted feed metering system utilizes a 4-speed gearbox and adjustable gate opening to accurately set a wide variety of planting rates for seeding crops from alfalfa to peas. A dry fertilizer box and a small seeds box can also be added to further tailor the drill to specific needs.

Lockout hubs disconnect the drive component system during transport. Safety lighting, electronic acremeter, lift cylinder with hoses, calibration crank, and V-bottom dividers for easy cleanout are all standard equipment. Optional equipment includes a seed box agitator and either Keeton® Seed Firmers or exclusive Seed-Lok® firming wheels.

00 Series Opener

• Great Plains 00 Series openers are designed for min-till fluted-feed drills. The 00 opener features 13.5", 4mm blades mounted on 205 triple-lip sealed bearings. The 00 opener has a ¼" lead opener blade. Hydraulic down pressure is transmitted from the toolbar to the heavy-duty down-pressure spring to apply ample penetration and depth control. A full-length seed tube delivers seed to the bottom of the trench.

CALIBRATION CRANK

• Specialty seeds are expensive. Calibrating your machine allows you to control the amount you use.

End Wheel Design

• Large end wheels maintain accurate seed placement on side hills and uneven terrain. Lockout hubs save drive components from wear.

HYDRAULIC OPENER LIFT / DOWN PRESSURE

• A single hydraulic cylinder lifts openers out of the way for transport and end-row turns (inset). The same cylinder also applies down pressure to the 5-position down-pressure adjustment stop. This setting allows the operator to quickly change the amount of down pressure applied to openers.

Lockout Hubs

• Disengage rotating drive parts during transport, extending life of components.

Press Wheel Options

• Single press wheel choices include a 3"x13" center rib press wheel that creates a crease in the soil for even emergence; a 2"x13" smooth press wheel; or a 3"x13" peak press wheel for arid areas. A 1"x12" double-V press wheel is also offered for 7½" spacing only.

4-Speed Gearbox

• Changing seed rates is quick and effortless with these permanently lubricated, sealed gearboxes.

T-Handle Opener Depth Adjustment

• Provides 18 different positions for accurate seed depth control.

OPTIONAL AIR DESIGN SCRAPERS

• The ideal solution for higher residue, moist conditions.

OPTIONAL FERTILIZER BOX

• Easy cleanout and six-point meter wheels accurately meter fertilizer.

OPTIONAL SMALL SEEDS BOX ATTACHMENT

• Mounts directly to the back of the main seed box. Utilizes a smaller version of the fluted feed cup to accurately meter tiny seeds like alfalfa and wildflowers.

• Eliminates bridging and provides consistent seed flow to the seed cups.
